AUXOP ASSOCIATION MEETING

Meeting called to order at 1215 by President Art Whalen.

There were 17 members present for the combined luncheon and meeting.

 

Minutes of the April 9, 2005 meeting in Pontiac were read and approved.

 

Treasurer’s report was read and approved showing a balance of $1434.49 as of Aug. 31, 2005.

 

Motion by David Soule, 2nd by Gene Plite that the AUXOP Association covers any and all cost of luncheon over amount paid by the members. Motion approved.

 

After much discussion on AUXOP members that will be affected by the new district alignment. A motion by Ed Sawle 2nd by Gene Plite to change the name of the AUXOP Association Ninth Coast Guard District Auxiliary Central Region to the AUXOP Association Ninth Coast Guard District Auxiliary, and that all present members are grand fathered into the new designation. We would be removing just the Central Region designation from the present name. Motion passed. This will need approval of the District Commodore and the Director of Auxiliary.

 

Art went over what he tried to do with the Division Liaison personnel and the course chairpersons.

 

Elections for President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer was held. Gene Plite nominated Dick Martin for President, Ed Sawle 2nd the nomination. There being no other nomination Carl Hikade moved that the secretary cast one unanimous ballot for Dick Martin. Passed

 

Ed Sawle nominated Carl Hikade for Vice President, David Soule 2nd the nomination. There being no other nomination Ed Sawle moved that the secretary cast one unanimous ballot for Carl Hikade. Passed

 

Pat McCarthy nominated Ron View for Secretary/Treasurer, Gene Plite 2nd the nomination. There being no other nominations Pat McCarthy moved that the secretary cast one unanimous ballot for Ron View. Passed

 

The officers for 2006/2007 were then sworn in by President Art Whalen.

 

No further business, meeting adjourned at 1240.
